Business and Educational Leaders (K-12, post secondary, colleges and universities), along with Student Advisory Representatives meet annually to brainstorm new ideas and enhance current initiatives to ensure that all students leave school with the academic, technical and employability skills necessary to be successful in the 21st century workplace.

PIE members work in focus groups and complete strategies to implement these initiatives.

Strategic planning sessions are focused on:

  • Membership and Public Relations
  • Continued development of Teacher Resource Guide
  • Providing the area's first combined Career/College Awareness                     Night for students and parents
  • Promoting open communication between educators and business                leaders
  • Identify employability skills needed for students to be successful in            21st century careers
  • Website and Video Streaming Tours of local industry
  •
