The initiatives were developed at a two day planning session with area educators and business managers.

1) Our methods need to include more real world and hands on experiences. For example portfolio, job shadowing.

2) Methods of sharing resources with each other, communication among institutions, businesses and human resources.

3) Professional development and teacher training to better support PIE, improve the process for the preparation of the new teachers, and better education support from the institutions providing professional development.

4) Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles for different types of students.

5) Valid assessment of student placement.
