Education/Workplace Initiatives Committee
| Develops and participates in classroom, workplace activities; including classroom visits, shadowing experiences and teacher in the workplace activities. Assess the academic, technical and employability skills necessary for workplace success. |
Website & Video Streaming Committee
| Provides necessary information regarding the business/education profiles of PIE members. The committee assists in the script writing and narration of PIE’s video streaming tours, local cable TV productions as well as PIE’s website. |
Finance Committee
| Review all fiscal responsibilities of PIE’s 501(c) 3 non profit organizations, recommends sound accounting procedures and assists in decision making regarding expenditures. |
Membership Committee
| Works cooperatively with area Chamber of Commerce and Can Do economic development office in meeting with perspective employers interested in locating to the Greater Hazleton Area. The committee supports the Greater Hazleton Area in sharing PIE’s successes with other potential partners. The membership committee seeks new members by utilizing a student, educator, business member team approach. The committee also communicates internally with existing members. |
Public Relations Committee
| Reviews and updates PIE’s Communication Plan and promotes effective newsworthy messages to the public. The Public Relations Committee consults on quarterly newsletters, press releases and member and student accomplishments. |
Student Advisory Committee
| Provides educational opportunities for area students grades 10, 11, 12 and college students, to participate in business/education projects i.e. script writing, narration, panel presentations, shadowing experiences and special academic projects. |
