During the Spring, PIE schedules a number of career related activities as we approached the end of the school year.

1. Education in the Workplace – PIE scheduled a morning and afternoon tour for area educators.  Educators received a company profile along with helpful suggestions on how the industry visit could be incorporated into the classroom.  This activity was best scheduled during the last week of school where substitutes were not needed.
2. Principal for a Day/Business Associate for a Day – This activity provided a PIE member from industry an opportunity to shadow an elementary, middle, high school principal or college administrator for a half day or full day.  Also this activity provided a school principal or college administrator an opportunity to shadow a business person i.e. human relations director or CEO for a day.  The opportunity to “walk in their shoes” helped to promote an appreciation for what we do!  This activity was also offered near the end of the school year.
